Industry Accreditation

We have passed the rigid standards and audits required to operate as a partner with Connect Training Group pty ltd, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) under the Australian Quality Training Framework.

Our vision is to provide tour guide training and accreditations to meet the needs of the touring companies operating throughout Australia. Training which is realistic, relevant and based on authentic experience and knowledge from many years of operating in the industry.

Dean Nulty’s fascination with all aspects of the bush from flora, fauna, Indigenous, european culture and our beautiful landscapes began at an early age when he set off into the Australian outback as a Wool Classer in the shearing industry.

Dean has had the advantage of fine-tuning his craft in the tour guiding industry with a wealth of outback and tourism experiences with the added benefit of qualifications.

A leading tour operator gave Dean the opportunity of six years as a senior tour guide, show casing the top third of Australia from the wet tropical rainforests of the east coast across the tropical savannah of Northern Australian and Broome on the Indian Ocean. During that time Dean has trained many tour guides who are in the industry today and he will often see past trainees on the road.

Jacqui Conway has over twenty years experience in tourism and hospitality. Jacqui left her native Scotland over twenty years ago when she fell in love with Australia and made it home. Jacqui’s passion for training has led her from 15 years teaching in the classroom and on a journey through private consultancy back into the industry where she believes she belongs and has maintained her connection with – Tourism.

If you are a current tour guide, with no formal qualifications, we want to help you gain that accreditation. Our aim is to make the process simple and painless for you and your touring company, allowing you to go on with what you do best – guiding.

For those wishing to enter into the industry for the first time, our courses provide realistic learning situations and assessment, dealing with the very current and real aspects of the job.

Our short courses allow tour guides to fine tune skills, enhancing and broadening knowledge depth. The design of our short courses will assist you to improve the interpretive aspect of your role as a tour guide.
